Current Needs:
North Texas Giving Day will help Texas Jewish Arts Association (TJAA) fund its current Dance and Music Division projects. Our current Dance Division's project is "The Sh'ma Project". The Sh'ma Project is a movement against hate; it emphasizes outreach to North Texas youth with performances and educational workshops in high schools and colleges. Deeply resonant contemporary dance, theater, music, and film reveal personal narrative and historical context while honoring the many peoples who have been othered, displaced, detained, and deported since the Holocaust. Our Music Division project is a collaboration with the Israeli Composers' League to bring new music to be performed for Dallas/Fort Worth audiences. The most recent work that has been premiered is "Serenade for Solo Violin" located on the TJAA website. TJAA is a community of artists, art professionals, art enthusiasts, musicians, and dancers. Membership is open to all. TJAA believes that artistic creativity brings out the best in humanity, and it supports members in the visual arts, performing arts, literature, art therapy, and art education. This is TJAA's first year to participate in North Texas Giving Day, and we look forward to raising funds to help support these significant projects.

Dear North Texas Art, Dance, and Music supporter,
This year, on Thursday, September 17, 2020, the Texas Jewish Arts Association is participating in Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day, a one-day online giving extravaganza for our whole region. Last year, Communities Foundation of Texas brought together nearly 3,000 organizations to raise $50 million, and we are excited to be a part of the movement this year!
Since its founding in 2009, North Texas Giving Day has inspired people to get up and give, resulting in increased donations and services provided in North Texas.
We invite you to join the movement and help us reach our goal of $5, 000 on September 17.
Here’s how you can help:
1. Get up and give on September 17!
Your gift matters! On September 17, if you donate to TJAA on NorthTexasGivingDay.org between 6 a.m. and midnight.
Not available on September 17? No worries! Make your gift early between September 1 and September 16 via this link! https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/TJAA
