    Theme Explanation:

    The Theme: “Yitzhak” or “Isaac."

The term “Yitzhak” is the transliteration of the Hebrew word meaning “laughter; to laugh; he will laugh; laughing one; he will rejoice.”

Yitzhak is a name, a concept, a story, a code of behavior, a person.

The name or word Yitzhak is an emotionally charged concept, and there are many ways of dealing with this topic: from any possible angle, in any context, and from any field related to your artistic 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional discipline.

You may interpret the theme as you please - via the definition of the word; in terms of the biblical story of Isaac; or based on or influenced by a personality with that name (Yitzhak Rabin, Isaac Newton, Isaac Bashevis Singer, Rabbi Yitzhak Luria, Isaac Asimov, Isaac Stern, Isaac Hayes, etc.)

The person’s name, short explanation, interpretation, or influence of your work must accompany your entry pictures for the jury selection.

    Guidelines:

    • The gallery space is limited. This will be a tightly juried show, so submit your best work and your best images.
